Farnham Castle Wedding Photography – Married To My Camera

Earlier this year in the spring, I had the pleasure of photographing Will and Katie’s wedding at Farnham Castle in Surrey. The castle is a Surrey wedding venue that I’ve photographed at before, but what makes it extra special for me, is that I spent an amazing three years studying for my degree at the art college in Farnham, so I know the area really well. As a wedding photographer based in Surrey, I get to travel to some fantastic venues but what is rather unique, apart from it’s obvious grandeur, is that Farnham Castle has the room for both the bride and the groom to get ready at the venue. This meant that on the day of Will and Katie’s wedding I was able to photograph both of them getting ready before the ceremony. As someone who really enjoys the narrative qualities of wedding photography, this is really helpful in being able to tell the story of the day, from both the bride and groom’s perspective. It was also music to my ears that Will and Katie didn’t want the traditional wedding photographer doing lots of set up shots and having their guests waiting around for ages. There were beautiful moments throughout the day that the couple were so grateful to me for capturing.

David made us feel completely at ease both in the lead up to our wedding and on the actual day, with his calm, professional manner and unobtrusive style of photography.

What was also rather amusing about the wedding was that Princess Charlotte was born to another, rather more well known, Will and Kate on the same day! To see more of my Farnham Castle Photography please follow this link.
