A huge thank you to Rahul Khona for kicking off the 2015 Best of Wedding Photography category on Photographers 4 weddings. Rahul Khona is an Asian wedding photographer based in London with a passion for travelling the world documenting weddings. He is a photojournalist, a storyteller and blessed to have found his path in life, that he can be invited into people’s lives to create meaningful and beautiful collections of photos for you to forever be reminded how your wedding day felt.
His work has taken him all over the UK and Europe and as far as India, Mexico and the USA. He has won international awards from Fearless Photographers, WPJA and ISPWP which he is extremely proud of but he is truly most grateful to all the amazing people who’ve invited him into their weddings, lives and hearts. 2015 is his 4th year as a full time wedding photographer, selling out the first ever NineDots workshops and putting on the inaugural NineDots Gathering but all of this is over shadowed by the birth of our daughter Amelia.
It’s been a year of destination weddings for sure for Rahul, who has been fortunate to travel to some exotic places such as Iceland, Florida, Tenerife, Greece, Italy, Dubai and everywhere in-between to document amazing couples and their stories…..it’s been a crazy number of flights for him but its all been worth it!
Thank you to all my couples this year for putting your faith in me, to document important moments in your lives, without you guys I would never be able to do this job I truly love and extremely passionate about. Cliché I know. But its the truth!
A big thank you to 3 super talented guys….scratch that brothers…Adam Johnson, Mick Shah and Andy Gaines, you’ve been a massive support to me personally, you’ve helped me grow, we’ve shared many many laughs together, the banter has been incredible may it never stop, and I can’t wait to see what the future of NineDots holds.
Finally my biggest thanks has to be to my amazing wife, for not only bringing into this world the most amazing little human Amelia and being the best mother, but for supporting me in my work too, without you I can’t be where I am today, so without sounding like I’ve just won the ‘Ballon D’or’ let’s get on with some of my personal favourite images from 2015. Thank you 2015, you’ve been incredible….roll on 2-0-1-6!
