Loseley Park Wedding Photography – Married to my Camera

Emily and Dan’s,  Loseley Park wedding in Surrey was one of my final wedding photography assignments of 2015. Their winter wedding at the beautiful Loseley park near Guildford turned out, despite the cold, to be a glorious day. Family and friends had played a big part in planning the day and it went by without a hitch. As a wedding photographer based in Surrey, and having shot at all of the big wedding venues in the county, I can honestly say that Loseley Park is one of my favourites. With it’s grand hall and barn, Loseley park has ample room for weddings no matter what time of year, and the walled gardens make a perfect backdrop for the drinks reception and portraits, weather permitting! When I first met with Emily and Dan they were keen to stress how much they wanted the fly on the wall kind of documentary approach to their wedding photographs. I specialise in using ambient light wherever I can, and remaining as discrete as possible. Shooting winter weddings and coping with the fading light can be tricky, but as any photographer will tell you, it’s the quality of the light, not necessarily the quantity that is important. Modern cameras can handle very low light situations and as you can see below, the quality of light on the day of Emily and Dan’s wedding was beautiful.
