Emma and Ben were married in a beautiful hill top church followed by a reception at the fantastic Down Hall on the Hertfordshire/Essex border.
My day started with photographing Emma’s preparations at her Mum’s house close by and it soon became apparent that the day was going to be full of laughter and fun. Both Emma and Ben really do have contagious smiles and, for a documentary wedding photographer, they are the perfect couple to photograph! Coupled with wonderful weather, a fun and excited throng of guests and a beautiful venue at Down Hall it really was an unbeatable day for wedding photography!
The highlight of the day for me was in the church, at the moment of peak tension just as the ceremony itself began when a clearly nervous and very enthusiastic Ben completely jumped the gun by loudly declaring “I do” before the vicar had even finished his sentence. There was more hilarity all round as moments later a member of the congregation dared to do the same thing shouting we “we will” far to early when the vicar asked if they would support and uphold the couple!
The rest of the day was marked with the same sense of infectious fun and energy as we continued with the drinks reception in the gardens at Down Hall and then through to the speeches and dancing in the evening.
If you are planning a wedding at Down Hall I’d love to be considered as your Down Hall wedding photographer. Get in touch, it would be great to hear from you!
