Beaulieu Abbey Wedding Photography – Linus Moran

One of the most distinctive Hampshire Wedding Venues we have had the pleasure to work in over the last year has been the Stunning Beaulieu Abbey. Set in the heart of the New Forest National Park, the unspoilt nature in the surrounding area coupled with the historical backdrop of the Beaulieu Abbey Church and Domus, mark this venue out as being a real gem for us as Hampshire Wedding Photographers.

Maria & Jonathans wedding celebration was a delight to capture, being a blend of Jonathan’s traditional and modern British touches combined with Maria’s South American passion for life. The setting – an ancient British Abbey, a bride & groom, horse drawn carriage, top hats and tails, bubble processional, and highly memorable speeches. The people, their connection and the details,– all added up to a great day for us as wedding photographers, capturing a truthful account of the day unfolding naturally.

We commenced our coverage with Maria and the bridal party, at a quaint New Forest cottage a short distance away from Beaulieu.  Pulling up outside in our car, and having to negotiate two roaming donkeys before parking.  What better scenario could you wish for?  It beats dodging traffic wardens any day!

A few scene setting pictures, and bridal preparations documented – we were off to the New Forest Wedding venue, Beaulieu Abbey to meet up with Jonathan. Having had a cheeky pint with his Groom’s men, captured by one of our Associate wedding photographers, I met him approaching the church. As the time ticked away and the momentum built, we captured the buzz and then it was showtime.  Maria arrived by horse drawn carriage, accompanied by her brother.

A stunning ceremony followed, with magnificent music, with personal vows being exchanged in front of friends and family gathered from around the world. Having lost the opportunity of using main aspects of the grounds due to structural work being under taken at the time (something that can often happen in historic buildings), we were granted special access to Beaulieu’s private gardens.

A chance for guests to relax and spread out, before heading into the Domus for the sit down breakfast and speeches.

Maria and Jonathans day was a joy to capture from start to finish.  Warm, friendly people, full of passion.
