2016 marked the 6 year stage in my wedding photography career, and what a year it’s been! It’s one in which I’ve really felt I’ve attracted the type of couples who truly resonate with my style, which I’d describe as natural, emotive and unique. I love documentary photography outside of weddings, so it’s a real joy to be a part of a day when I get to witness such an array of emotions and document those, knowing that the couple and their family and friends truly appreciate it. As a good friend of mine said, it’s basically sanctioned street photography!
It’s also been a year of travel with destination weddings in Italy, along the Amalfi Coast, California, along the Big Sur, and a vineyard in Austria! The type of weddings have also been so diverse that it keeps the job fascinating and intriguing – whether it’s a rooftop garden wedding, Indian wedding, or even a festival-themed wedding (!), the job is never boring. And I haven’t even mentioned the array of emotions I get to experience and capture. That truly is something special, and one I’m so privileged to be a part of. So here are my favourite moments of 2016…
